Yoga has gained a lot of fame in the recent past. It’s not only fun but is associated with many health gains. From relaxation, stress management, and better sleep, yoga will do this and much more. For this reason, many people now enroll in yoga lessons, and technology makes this possible to do this online.

With online tools like Zoom, you can now connect with your tutor and enjoy live lessons from anywhere. Just like with other courses, you’ll go through all the course materials when taking Yoga Classes Online. Also, you can purchase additional materials that you can read at your leisure.

    Why learn yoga online?

There are various reasons to learn yoga online. There are many tutors online, and you can learn different yoga topics online than with physical classrooms. Again, you can learn from the comfort of your home and at any time.

Unlike with conventional yoga studies, you choose the best learning hours. And this makes it possible to continue with other critical tasks as you learn. Also, you can join online group discussions and share ideas with other students from different places. That’s not all, though! With the wide variety of yoga classes online, you can locate the best deals and save a lot on costs.

    The popular online platforms used to teach yoga online are;

    • Facebook Live
    • Youtube
    • Zoom
    • Google Meet
    • Instagram Live
    • Crowdcast
    • Namastream

Zoom is commonly used; it’s very reliable and allows instructors to hold meetings with about 100 students at a go. You can do 40-minute sessions or more hours, depending on the chosen plan. For instance, you can upgrade and hold meetings for 24 hours, allowing learners time to complete the yoga sessions.

What are the techniques used to teach yoga online?

    1. Yoga performance

The technique resembles the class experience by modeling movement, breath, and shape. The tutor verbally cues the same without seeing the learners who have their videos off. The main problem with this technique is that it’s hard to teach students that you can’t see. Besides, yoga involves actively listening to learners.

    2. Yoga presence

Another method is embodied awareness. In this technique, the tutor sits on the screen, teaching live, and students can see all the demonstrations performed. Although the teacher is not physically with them, it becomes easier to instruct or model styles and poses. Also, the method allows learners to connect with the instructor who is more present.

    3. Online yoga instruction

Yoga instruction is common among tutors with experience training learners online. It involves instructing using a live model leaner. In this method, we use the word instructing rather than teaching, and this is because the tutor piles up knowledge into the student’s brain.

It helps yoga instructors who want to refine student’s understanding of certain poses and styles. It’s also useful for those targeting a specific physical ailment.

    Conclusion

Yoga involves more than our physical bodies. It’s then possible to connect and practice yoga virtually. Although it may feel different initially, it gets more exciting over time, knowing that you’re learning lessons from others all over the globe. Besides, there are multiple techniques that instructors can use to connect with students.
