    • Difficulty in swallowing: Because the acid is coming upwards, a person with GERD may find it challenging to swallow food properly.

    • Change in voice: Due to the constant coughing and irritation of the throat, your Adam’s apple may get inflamed and you may experience harsh speech.
    • Asthma: Too much production of acid and its reflux can worsen your symptoms and you may develop asthma.

    • Vomiting: When the symptoms of GERD get out of control, the person may additionally feel nauseated and can even vomit from time to time.
